We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the entire Bible, both the Old and New Testaments. We further accept the Mazoretic and Textus Receptus manuscripts from which came the King James Bible and accept the King James Bible as the divinely preserved and perfect Word of God for the English-speaking world. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21, Psalm 12:6-7, Deut 4:1-2, Prov 30:5-6, Mark 13:31, Rev 22:18-19)
2. TRINITY
We believe that God is a person, eternally existing as a Trinity, manifesting Himself in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We further believe that these three are one God, but separate in personality and work. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 10:30,33,14:10,16,18,23, 26; Rom 8:9, 1 Cor. 3:16, 2 Cor. 13:14)
3. JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, eternally existing yet born of a virgin. Being God, He lived a sinless life, making His death on the Cross both sufficient and substitutionary for the sins of the whole world. After making atonement for the sins of the world with His own blood, He ascended into Heaven with a glorified body where He is seated at the right hand of the Father as Head of the Church, making intercession for the saints as our High Priest. (John 1:1-3; Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:5-8; Acts 2:18-36; Rom. 3:24-25; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 2:24; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Acts 1:9-10; Rom. 8:34; II Cor. 5:10; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; 1 John 2:1-2; Rev. 20:11-15)
4. SALVATION
We believe that man is lost in sin and must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. We believe that for lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential. The salvation of a man’s soul is by grace alone through personal faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross. (Matt. 12:31-32; John 1:12; 2 Cor. 5:17; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; 1 John 1:9; 5:13; John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1; 38-39; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; 1 Pet. 1:4-5)
5. SECOND COMING
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is coming again in the air at any moment to rapture His Church and to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a seven-year period called the Tribulation, after which Christ shall return visibly to the earth with His saints to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all the ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while believers will spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord. (Ps. 89:3-4; Dan. 2:31-45; Zech. 14:4-11; 1 Thess. 1:10, 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Rev. 3:10; 19:11-16; 20:1-6)
6. The Church
We believe that the Church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons. The local church is an independent body accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ, the head of the church. All human authority governing the local church resides within the local church itself. Thus the church is autonomous, or self-governing. No religious hierarchy outside the local church may dictate a church’s beliefs or practices. Autonomy does not mean isolation. A local church may fellowship with churches around mutual interests and in associational tie, but a local church cannot be a member of any other body. Col 1:18; 2 Cor 8:1-5,19,23 We believe God’s program today is centered in the New Testament local church which is Independent and mission minded.
The Commitment of the Church To Support and Strengthen the Body, which includes supporting and sending Missionaries, -- Evangelists, and Church Planters...
Supporting them by prayer (1 Thess. 5:17, 1 Tim. 2:1, Eph. 5:18)
Supporting them by fellowship (Gal.6:2, Hebrews 10:25)
Supporting them by giving (Luke 6:28, 2 Cor 9:7)
Supporting them by counsel (Prov 11:14, 12:15, 15:22, 19:20-21, Ps 73:24)
To Separate from the World (2 Cor. 6:14-18, Eph. 5:11)
To Disciple & Develop Leaders (Acts 5:42, 2 Tim.2:2)
To Edify and Exhort the Believer (1 Thess. 5:11&14, Hebrews 3:13)
To Restore the Fallen (Gal. 6:1)
To Evangelize and Win the World to Christ (Pr. 11:30, John 3:16-17)
To Equip the Saint for Battle (Ephesians 6:10-20)
7. Security of the Believer
We believe that once a person has been saved, they are a child of God for eternity. Our salvation cannot be bought, sold, given away or lost. We believe in the eternal security of the believer (Heb. 13:5, John 10:29)
8. Separation
We believe God teaches in Scripture that we are to live separate from worldly and sinful things 2 Cor 6:17. We are to live in the world but are not to be of the world. John 15:19. We believe as Christians, once we are saved, if we disobey God’s Word or live in any way displeasing to God, this will hinder our fellowship with the Lord. Ps 66:18
9. Soul-Winning
We believe as Christians it is our duty to fulfill and obey the Great Commission. Matt 28:19. We believe that the Bible teaches us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world Acts 1:8. We believe in fulfilling the Great Commission, we are to see people baptized after salvation and teach them the truths of God’s Word.
10. Two-Ordinances
The local church should practice two ordinances: (1) baptism of believers by immersion in water after salvation, identifying the individual with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. Baptism does not merit us before God in any way but is God’s first commandment for the Christian life. (2) the Lord’s Supper or Communion commemorating Christ’s body that He gave and His perfect blood that He shed for our sin. Communion does not gain us favor with God but is in obedience to the Lord’s command in remembrance. Matt. 28:19-20, 1Cor 11:23-32
POSITIONAL STATEMENT
We repudiate all unscriptural religious trends of the day: Ecumenicalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, New Evangelicalism, and the excesses of the Charismatic Movement.
